Can't Create Certificate For Apps; Potential Solution Ideas

Followed the steps, worked with both an earlier version of the certificate manager and an updated one. Still getting the “Key Store Type Should be PCKS12 or other valid entry” error many others have gotten.

I get it, Samsung doesn’t want to support its older wearables anymore. But “throw away perfectly usable tech” isn’t much of a solution either. If Samsung’s tizen team can’t figure out certificate creation, maybe it’s time to update these watches so they function closer to android in that it’s perfectly possible to install an app without a certificate. More of a malware risk, but also fewer headaches for customer support. A more open store akin to F-Droid on android would also be a potential solution.

I mean sure, it would be nice if this certificate issue was figured out, but longer term solutions that open up the hardware would probably help improve Samsung’s brand image amongst folks, rather than leaving them soured on it all.

I have been trying multiple different approaches to this, see pdf of ChatGPT summary. One thing I can’t figure out is that is this a result of something on samsung’s side, or is it the Tizen side of things.
Please, I know Samsung does not have a strong interest in tizen watched but pleas just a direction would be greatly appreciated
