Can't download Tizen TV Extension SDK 5.5 – file not available in arch

Hello,

I am currently developing a Tizen TV app for a model running Tizen 5.5.
I understand that older SDKs such as the TV Extension SDK 5.5 were previously available through the SDK archive.

However, it seems that the download for “TV Extension Image 5.5.0” is no longer functioning.
The link appears on the archive page, but clicking on the download button does not trigger any file download — the agreement checkbox doesn’t appear, and the request is not processed.

I’ve also tried accessing the link via browser developer tools (console), but could not get a working download URL.

Can you please:

  • Re-enable or fix the 5.5 extension download in the archive?
  • Or provide an alternative method to obtain the Tizen 5.5 TV Extension SDK?

This is quite critical for us as the target device is not compatible with apps built for Tizen 6.0+.

Same issue here – unable to download any TV extension SDKs or older versions of Tizen Studio.
It’s become impossible to continue development for older TV models.

The Seller Office team is working on the issue.

As a workaround, right-click on and copy the link from the download you need, paste it into a text editor, then copy and paste the download link into your browser to download the extension.

For example, when I right-click on the Windows 64bit link for version 6.5.3, I copy javascript:openPopup('https://developer.samsung.com/smarttv/file/e0cd89ad-8a76-491b-88c9-512c447467df'); //you should keep comment to my text editor. I then copy https://developer.samsung.com/smarttv/file/e0cd89ad-8a76-491b-88c9-512c447467df to my browser and the download starts.

Otherwise, please follow the instructions MA Hasan provided for Smart TV questions and specify the SDK versions that you need access to.

I submitted a question to TV Seller Office using the 1:1 Q&A and they provided the links to the 5.5.1 version of the SDK:
