Easier face transferrals

Can the process of transferring a watch face onto a watch to test be made more foolproof? At present it’s just luck whether it works or not. An app on the watch that is linked to a developer account to enable transfer? If no developer account, no access. Or the ability to file transfer to a phone and import into Wear, and then on as normal?

Actually it is pretty fool proof in this time of security and privacy regulations.
However, if you are using a Mac there is an issue because of Mac updates after a final version of GWS. It appears that GWS includes an out of date version of the Samsung Device Bridge app.

Create a support request and ask that they send you an updated version of SDP for Mac, or download Tizen Studio and install it and use the Tizen studio version for GWS version.

Thanks Ron.

After struggling for a number of days trying to connect to my watch, another member here suggested the Tizen file, and it worked within minutes. If the file supplied with GWS is out of date and won’t work, why on earth isn’t Samsung forcing an update out with a working file. Isn’t that a basic need!

Cheers

There are several reasons for it. One the thought was this was an issue with Catalina and GDPR. The other is that GWS updates were delayed for many reasons and now even longer. You may find out the reason Aug 5th at the Samsung unpack event.
