Recommendation: stay away from WFS, and use Android Studio. WFF allows you to do crystal clear watchfaces, even on 480x480. It really makes a difference (at least to my eyes)!
In a thread about the memeory budget limit somebody noted that the built project file contains the inserted image resources in their original resolution. So if you put in for example image 640x640 and scale it in WFS to its 450x450 canvas, the watch should still be able to benefit from the original resource. Unles there was double rescaling (first unnecessary forced to 450x450 and then to the display size), which would not make much sense, but I can’t rule it out.
Hi Ron,
I have just received a reply (Samsung members) that the problem of the invisibility of the gradient, the so-called Black crushing, has been noticed and will be removed with a software update.
Thank you and best regards,
Adrian

We talking about an upscale of 6% (only on the 47mm version). Of course it has an impact, but the question is whether consumers will go crazy over it?> Blockquote
That’s pretty disrespectful and dismissive of their points and efforts to prove an issue.
Sure not all customers will notice but anything scaled down generally looks better then when it’s upscaled. Samsung could literally let us work in 1920x1920 and have it set to downscale anything. We should be able to target things perfectly for our desired watch face in mind but expect that the tool we use in this case watch face studio actually provides the proper support for Samsungs own watches along with the top leading brands of watches.
You’re literally saying you don’t care to produce a quality product because you think lowly of your customers. That’s disrespectful to anyone who actually uses your watch faces.
