I have a problem to select and image or text to modify it. Example : i have 15 items, then i try to modify the 4th on the face, so i select it and then it change the selection to the 1st item (on top). What i do wrong?
I also do this all the time, it is very frustrating. Be sure you select from the layer list and not the work window it is easy to click on something a layer over the one you want by mistake with WFS. A good trick is move the component you want to the top layer if possible while you are modifying in then move it back down to the layer you want it at.

Better is lock top layer

Yes! This is a better way.
Try to lock the top layer covering bottom layers like the capture.
