I’m having a compatibility issue that might be related to certification/signing. My application is used by different clients on Tizen versions 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. Up until a few versions ago (to illustrate, I’ll use version numbers), version 10 allowed me to install my .wgt app on Tizen 7. However, starting with version 11, it no longer installs.
I’m using Tizen sdk for SSSP4.
Even if I recompile my app, manually apply the certificate, and then use the B2B certificate on Samsung Seller, it still doesn’t work. I’ve also tried recompiling version 10, which previously worked, but now it won’t install either.
I’ve read several related topics, and one suggested solution is to use a certificate with a UUID. However, this doesn’t work for me because I have over 60 clients and the app must remain compatible with older Tizen versions (3, 4, 5, 6, etc.).
I’ve been trying to solve this for several months without success. A similar issue happened in the past, and back then the solution was to use the B2B certificate mentioned above. But now even that doesn’t fix the problem.
