Watch Face Studio 1.9.5

Watch Face Studio 1.9.5: Premade watch faces - such a veeery welcome addition!

Did I mention it? A very welcome addition and also implemented in a user-friendly way. Thank you.

I still don’t understand how to use photos. How is it different from inserting an image?

I assume the user can change the image. However, since I don’t have a Wear OS 6 device, I can’t verify this.

Anybody find any bugs yet? I’m reluctant to install this until we know what’s now broken. I’m pretty gun shy since the 1.8.7 debacle. I did install it one of my workstations just to see if there’s anything new that’s worth the upgrade. I didn’t see anything new that I expected to see, based on what WearOS 6 WFF is supposed to be capable of.

Nothing about auto sizing text or anything…

Not sure if it’s a bug yet but I created a watch face and when I uploaded it didn’t use the font I selected. I had another watch face with the same font, and it used it when I uploaded it. Not sure why it worked on one and not the other.

One of the new features that is nice is the Premade options where you cand used options you created to make premade face as an option. It’s like making a new face so the user doesn’t have to go through the customizing themself. It is nice but only works from the phone app not the watch.

When selecting a theme color for the time it does not work to change the color of the time. The rest of the theme selection is working. The time is selected under digital clock.

Where is this option in WFS? The release notes have 3 things listed that no one cares about.

Are you referring to this? If so, it was in 1.8.10 as well.

Wow, I didn’t poke around enough. Thanks for the screenshot!!!

I’m gonna use the crap out of that!!! That is pretty sweet. Like the Ultra Faces that have premade. I guess that was the beta for this.

Apparently, I’ve been spreading some BS. Obviously, you don’t need a Wear OS 6 device. For reasons unknown to me, my WFS 1.9.5 rejected the “Run on Device” command on both my Pixel Watch and my Galaxy Watch, stating that the watches needed more recent software.

(Edit: Now I understand. The premade option requires SDK version 36.)

I’m getting the same thing. I guess Premade is WearOS6 only. I figured because it was on the Ultra faces when I bought my watch with WearOS 5 on it, it would be compatible. I wonder what else won’t work. I guess this is why Samsung held back on releasing WFS for WearOS 6 until now.

I guess I’ll be maintaining two version of every face until all watches are on WearOS 6.
