The last Samsung Internet major release was near the start of April. October is about to begin, so it has been ~6 months. Even when version 28 released, it was built on Chromium 130, which was already nearly six months old at the time, and is near approaching a year old. Samsung Internet is the only major browser not to support webkitdirectory as a result: HTMLInputElement: webkitdirectory property - Web APIs | MDN . Chromium 141 just released, meanwhile. This is a newer phenomenon, affecting only the last 2 updates (and the current one):
- 20 → 21 was ~3 months, and moved to a Chromium ~3 months old at the time
- 21 → 22 was ~2 months, and moved to a Chromium ~4 months old at the time
