I try to design my own watch faces and upload those to my Galaxy 6 classic watch. I use to rename my watch faces and modify designs in WFS and upload those to my watch. Seems that everything works well except the names of the faces shown in my watch. All different designs show same name in the watch. I want to rename my design in WFS and see the renamed name in the watch. I will appreciate if you please show me the way of changing the names and differentiate the designs in the watch. Thanks.
Are you made your every watch faces from the scratch or making the copy of a single one and edited the watch face?
I normally copy ( save as) my previous wf, rename and modify it to a new watch face.
You need to compile/upload/publish your project then change the app label. (this doesn’t mean you have to publish your WF in google)
Currently this is not supported. You need to design from scratch . Or you can follow @sprakenturn mentioned way, this works.
@asadulhuq . I am sure I have done it . I think it is in the Sam place you Change the name of the Style Layers . Point is I am sure you can do it without doing a Build .
there are 2 ways i have found.
one is from the opening menu where you can chose your project. click on the 3 dots and rename is one of the options in the drop down.
the second way is inside the project itself, under project/settings. if you go to the far right tab, you can click on the data tab and then click on the text id_label_xx and then rename it from there.
i hope this helps.
@RickyGrafixWF . Brilliant . Master Class Bookmarked. Thank You .
Always a Master Class Topic has a Good Title .
ops sorry my bad, yes NO need to do build step to change the value (name). My OCD part of me just cannot let the Text ID unchanged as it will be locked.
@RickyGrafixWF
In my case the 1st method works and the 2nd method does not, since the id stays locked. Thanks.
perhaps i should’ve explained further. under project settings and the data tab, click on the blue link starting with ID_LABEL_xxx
that will bring up this window
delete the default value, enter your new project name, and then hit ok. once you save and close the project the new name should be reflected on your recent projects menu page.
unless i’m missing something, i hope this helps.
