White screen on failover

We are displaying FIDS information in an airport using the Web browser capability of Samsung PH43F with firmware version 2131.

When the internet connection is interrupted, the URL address should failover to another address in order to display the correct information, but a white screen is being displayed instead.

After reboot, the intented information is being correctly viewed on the page.

This is quite urgent and any information that might solve this issue is appreciated.

You are probably better off asking this at the Smart TV seller portal sign in with samsung account and the Support tab 1:1 Enquiry. That is where the Smart TV support is handled.

If you don’t get any assistance there you can open a Developer support request but it would be much quicker to go through the Smart TV support.

I wish I could help better.

Samsung Developer Program

After backing up the registry and using the method of increasing the TimeOutValue parameter described below, it will be possible to eliminate any disruptions during the path of failover.

So, what you will need to do is:

  1. Right-click on Start and select the Run command.
  2. Type regedit.exe, and click OK.
  3. In the left-panel tree go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE → System → CurrentControlSet → Services → disk .
  4. Double-click TimeOutValue parameter and set the value data to 0x3c (hexadecimal) or 60 (decimal) and apply with OK.
  5. Reboot the guest OS for the change to take effect.
After making this change, Windows will wait for 60 seconds to complete delayed disk operations before generating errors.
