Back to font rendering problem in watch face studio!

Hello all,
I hope everyone is fine…

I am back to having issues of rendering the ttf font in watch face studio…
I am opening old projects and compiling them to meet google policy of target SDK, but Google requires some new screenshots, and I can’t use Watch Face Studio for that purpose, I am seriously thinking i should just go back 2 years, install that in a VMware for the sake of rendering projects for screenshots because this is really annoying…

I can’t even create a new project and use the font anymore, watch face studio doesn’t render it, I tried putting in the workspace folder, I tried installing the font as well but no matter what, watch face studio treats it as unknown font…

I know the face works since I run it on Android Emulator from Android Studio, you can see the font works fine, the font is Samsung Sans ttf…

I tried using uninstallers that would purge and remove all residues of the application thinking perhaps a reg or config file is corrupted in Watch face studio, but that was not the case as well, even reinstalling watch face studio after purge, does not render the font…

I could live with this by simply screenshot from android studio but I am anxious that in the future when I build the app, font’s won’t even work anymore and I have many published watchfaces on Play Store…

I really hope anyone has some insights on why this is happening and a solution to this problem…
I have Windows 11 Pro…

Thank you in advance,
Regards,
Dante

Could you please share some images and a sample project by which the issue could be reproducible?

Create a new project, add the attached font and select it, does it render in ui…?
Test it on Watch or Emulator, is it the same font…?

this is the font:

And i attached a photo of my watch face studio, showing it is unable to render the font but on emulator and watch, the font renders fine, so I am not sure why this is happening…

Hello,
I have tested the font you have shared. It seems both the WFS and Watch are giving the same output. Could you please check?

So there is a problem with my watch face studio or its installation or perhaps the path of where it tries to access the resources, for example, my username on windows has a “.” and “space”…

Attaching a video:

I went ahead and renamed my windows username folder (which resets almost everything for me for most apps due to my username change), but I swear older version of Watch face studio was handling special character usernames and folder paths, one of the updates might have removed it and now special characters in paths break things…

Here is the results after renaming my windows username folder:

I guess i solved the mystery myself, but please someone, raise a ticket to the development team to handle paths that might contain special characters…
