Legally you aren’t allowed to, however Samsung has allowed one seller to use the Deadpool logo on a theme.

Redacted is right and I imagine if you do you will never be approved and may keep you from ever being approved.
The requirements for a Theme Portfolio are “original art”. No photos, no characters, they are looking for originality.
