I was looking forward to use the new weather tags in 1.7.9 beta, but it looks like they are not compatible with my Watch 4 Classic (and 5 and 6 according to another post).
Can this be fixed via an update (SDK33 → 34) and if yes, is Samsung likely to do it?
I think it’s confirmed that watches 4, 5, and 6 will be updated to WearOS 5 at some point and that’ll also update the version of the SDK

@SnakeR, where could we find this kind of information? It would be nice to be able to confirm this information since it significantly changes our testing requirements for watch faces.

Samsung Sets the New Standard With Four Generations of OS Upgrades To Ensure the Most Up-to-Date and More Secure Galaxy Experience – Samsung Global Newsroom - Samsung says that the watch 4 and upcoming(so newer galaxy watches) get 4 years of OneUI updates, since the watch 4 released in August of 2021, it still has 1 year of support left to go and therefore most definitely will receive the Wear OS 5 update, as watch 5 and 6 are newer, they have even more years of support ahead of them and so it’s only logical they also receive the update
