Smart Mirroring new version not auto-connecting

Hello,

I’ve created an app that uses smart mirroring with Android V8, the Smart Mirroring would auto-connect to the mirror device if there was only one present, which is what was required for the App.

After upgrading to Android V12 the Smart Mirroring now requires user intervention to connect even if there is only one mirror device present.

Is there a way to auto-connect the new version of Smart Mirroring or can I revert to the old version of Smart Mirroring. If I can revert to the old version how do I do it as Smart Mirroring is embedded in Android?
