I am an individual user, not a dev and I do not intend to publish my creation. I am using WFS because GW7 no longer supports the likes of Bubble Cloud, Watch Face Maker, etc. I just want to be able to create a watch face that works for me on my own watch.
So far, I have no issues connecting via ADB and push watch faces using “Run on Watch”. It works well, but every time I push a tweaked face, my complications get wiped out. I am not removing or adding complications in WFS, only slightly tweaking their position and size.
Is there a way to preserve the complications when I update a tweaked watch face? Would installing WFF via ADB work? I see that I have set up for publishing, including certificates, etc., of which I have none, nor set up.
I want to create a sustainable workflow that would allow me to make small changes and keep my complications. I would appreciate some guidance. Many thanks.
Thanks. I have no issues with connecting to the watch. When I use “Run on Watch”, once the face is loaded on the watch and I add complications, if I “Run on Watch” again with slight changes, such as font size, it will wipe out all the complications I configured.
However, if I create an APK and sideload it, the complications stay. I guess that’s the answer.
Every time you ‘run on watch,’ the studio installs a newer version of the app on your watch. That’s why it is always in the default state. You can set your complications in the WFS (if they are available) as default options to have them set up after installation. I hope that helps.
@mikhail will you please clarify “set complications… as default options to have them set up after installation”.
@Boshra the results are not the same for me. When I push an APK, the complications remain. When I use “Run on Watch”, it wipes out the complications, perhaps as @mikhail described.
