When can we start beta testing Wear OS 6?

Hello all. I keep hearing that Wear OS 6 is “out there.” I would like to try testing it for WFS on my Pixel Watch 3. Is that yet possible?

I posted this a few days ago and mostly got crickets.

Maybe the feet dragging may also be due to getting the watchfacepush set up for the 3rd party apps. Seems like a lot of things still need to be ironed out.

I think Wearos 6 is introduced with the publication of the Pixel Watch 4. I think in August/September. The beta test for Galaxy Watch series has recently started

Overall, ladies and gentlemen - It all comes down to the never-ending frustration of features, new apps, new WearOS - whatever it is, being “teased” weeks or months before it’s actually ready. As someone who tweaks watch faces routinely every time I get a new bright idea (and I’m the only one who wears my designs since it’s too complicated to try to sell them), I completely understand needing to iron out bugs, but I’m going to quit looking.

I’m going to quit looking for Gemini too. Nice to have, but will get here when it gets here.

If you use sone of the new Weather stuff on WFS and do a memory load test with the Plugin you will see that the face is APK 34 ( API 34+) ready . Which means they will work on a WOS6 Watch . I hope I have got that right . It is all so close to going online . It is not surprising there are delays the changes that have to be Integrated are Enormous . I am surprised that they did not just start another Platform .

That’s an interesting approach. I do use a lot of the weather stuff, since for my neck of the woods (west coast of Florida, US) WFS weather is more accurate than the various complication suites. However, I wouldn’t know how to begin doing a memory load test. Good to know that my faces will work when Wear OS 6 does get here.

My Pleasure . You could get it from the Developers site but it is good to post a few dope sheets . Sorry I did not mark them up . I did not want to make it too easy . I got mine updated now in the process . :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

No problem. I figured it out. Thanks again.

Remember to settle the memory count you sometime have to save and resave your .wfs file . That clears any duplicates in the Workspace .

OK, good to know. I often have to do that anyway with 1.8.10. It doesn’t like to close nicely.

I’m in Pinellas County, the majority of my faces are geared towards weather as well.

There’s a new WFS Beta? I can only find 1.8.10 which is production now.

Ah, another Floridian. Manatee County (Parrish) here. My Pixel phone and watch seem to get their weather data from Google Weather and the WFS options seem to be more accurate than the Amoled Suites I have tried - although those have many more features. Maybe some will be added the next time around.
