2 Questions on Complications

Hi,
My questions are on small box or small circle complications and I’m asking both questions just to better understand how this process works on WFS.

Since I make watch faces for my own personal use, I always add the same 4 complication tap areas to my watch faces; one each at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock. Since I don’t want the complications to actually appear on my faces, but just be tap areas that I know are there, I I set them up as Editable with all Supported Types checked, Provider is empty, and I select the Icon shape. Then, I set the color value to 0% so they won’t appear on the face, and size them on the face to take up about 1/4 of the face each. I’ve attached a screenshot to help visualize what I’m describing.

Q1: My assumption is that the size of the area on the face defines the area that can be tapped, so that if I were to make the area too small, it could be hard to tap on my watch. Is my assumption correct?

Q2: My second question is broader. Is this the proper or easiest way to accomplish what I want, which is invisible tap areas that I can define for whatever complications are available on the watch?

Thanks!

You do exactly what I do . Tap area is always square ( Ish ) the size of the bounding box . I hide the complications under a Background . They still work . If you hide them they do not operate . You Can make them Zero Opacity . Well as I keep saying , that is what I do . You can tap to run any App or Shortcut on your watch and dont have to mess about with what shows or does not on the display . My two favourites are Time Zones and a nice Calendar for the month . The other two I leave spare for testing . Job Done :::)))
