I would LOVE a tag for the compass degrees to use in expressions! This would really enable some beautiful and functional designs!

when can we expect that feature?
I wouldn’t expect it any time this year. With the recent release of a new Watch Face Studio and a new Wear OS; I would expect all the resources now go into fixes and fine tuning of the current tool and expected changes in Wear OS api 33.
Also just being on the list does not mean it is feasible or practical to implement or it is given a higher priority.
