Confused about refunds in Google Play?

Ok, I get that someone may not be satisfied with their purchase and may want to refund their purchase but I don’t think this is what is happening? If so, I think I would have heard something from someone based on the amount of refunds I have been getting. Do people just buy watch faces to really check them out and then refund them if it’s not something they want? I have swathes of refunds seemingly from the same customers on different days. I mean, if you didnt like the first face, why would you buy others? I don’t really care about the refunds as that is the right of the customer to do so but I wonder if all there refunds would affect your standing/chances of getting featured in Google Play?

Thoughts anyone?

I’ve just installed your free watchface Prizm dark.

Here is a problem:
watchface does not install itself on the watch automatically.
I think most people expect it after clicking download from Google play.

Instead customer has to open Wearable app, open Watchfaces, scroll all the way down to Downloaded, tap on downloaded watchface and only then the watchface will install on the watch.
It’s stupid.
I’m guessing most people do not know about that.

Most customers will think that something is wrong, they will wait for a few minutes and then ask for a refund because watchface didn’t upload to watch.

but they dont…I have a companion apps with all my faces and you can install the companion app onto your phone and then install onto your device. Once the watch face is installed onto their device from their phone they will then be prompted to “set” the face at which point it should appear on their watch. I run through this process every time I add a companion app to my existing app and that’s how it works for me. In addition, they can download directly to their device from their browser but they will just be informed that the watch face has been installed onto their device. That is the point where they will have to scroll all the way to the end of their installed watch faces and then hit the “+” to see all their installed apps. That is very stupid yes but out of my hands. I have done all I can do to provide as many options for someone to download a watch face and I am no different than any others who do the exact same thing with their companion apps. I do not know how or why the experience seems to be so different for you or others?

Some people do intalls just to test, most of the times the look of the watch face in a banner/image is different from the one on the watch, I did it a couple of time. The watch face look like wow in the banner but when I installed i didnt like the look on the watch (yes you can check the screen capture in the google play from the watch, but to many steps to do lol).

In the other hand, some people do it just to get the watch face (or any other app) “for free”. They buy it, intall, generate the apk, uninstall, get the refund, then install the apk they generated. At least I knew this used to happen with old apps, I don’t know if google managed to block it somehow (I believe they didn’t)…

There is nothing we can do in both cases. Not even say which case is which.

Yes, I know you cannot do anything to change that. Bummer.

Also true. Happened to me as well.
