I have registered as Free Distribution Seller, however when I try to upload the App (Add New App). Am I right that I to upload any App (even free of payment) I must apply for commercial seller status?

Samsung Store no longer has free distributors. To publish Android apps on Galaxy store you must be a commercial seller and a registered business.
