Google Play Store Testing and Rejection

So, I submitted an incredibly simple watch face to Google, I did one round of 14 days of testing with 12 kind folks, and it got rejected, with no reason given.

So, I did another 14 day round of testing, only to be rejected once again, with no good reason.

How the h*ll is everyone getting their stuff thru the play store testing? I’m ready to quit this whole damn thing at this point. The only saving grace right now is the Facer is showing some promise with the WearOS 6 beta release of Facer. I have already 5 WFS Faces on there, published and ready for users to download and use.

Is there some secret password to get them to pass my testing? The watch face works perfectly, yet they insist I need more testing.

I can’t be the ONLY ONE that’s gone thru this?

I am sure we have all gone through rejections that don’t tell us anything. No one can really help because like you, we have no specifics about your watch face to work with either. It sucks that you have to go through the additional step of finding testers so maybe when you get these ambiguous rejections, it’s not that easy to just scrap that file and simply rebuild it from scratch. Most of us who have gotten these ambiguous rejections have done just that and re-submitted. For me, anytime I have re-submitted a new watch from scratch, it has gotten passed.

Thanks for the reply. When you say rebuild it from scratch, are you suggesting I start over, but end up with a face that looks the and works the same way?

I have 14 faces ready to go, I was just trying to get one thru the testing process with one to see how the process worked before submitting the rest.

Thanks again for the reply, your input is greatly appreciated!!!

Yes just rebuild the same watch from scratch and unpublished the old one. I kept getting these impossible rejections when I was working in WFS 1.6.9 that simply said “not loading or crashing on install” yet the faces worked just fine on mine and my testers devices. Google or “the tester” (who was perhaps totally unqualified to be one) refused to send me any specifics when I appealed begging for any shred of information as to what the issue was. In the end, I got the same response of basically “sorry, can’t help you”. So I just said screw it and redid the watch faces in question in WFS 1.6.10 and they ALL passed. That was a last resort but when you don’t know what the problem is and Google is not being specific, it’s the best (only) thing to do. Personally, I no longer send appeals to Google regarding app rejections because I would just rather stay off the radar.
