How to promote apps in samsung app store?

how to promote apps in samsung app store

I assume you mean an Android app and you want Banners or in the lists that appear when you open the Galaxy Store app. There is no way for an individual to apply for that like there is Watch Apps and Themes but if you include an image of a certain size and your app stands out or is a new release they may promote you. I’ll find out the image size needed and update this response.

You should alos review the Marketing Resources information for other ways to promote your apps. Being a good selling app is a great way to be promoted in the Galaxy Store too.

Hi Ron
Thanks for following up on this.
I have a few questions to confirm with you.

  1. About coupons: We can provide exclusive coupons for Samsung users. Up to $3 each for a total of 1 million coupons. Please tell me where the coupons are in the store.
  2. About APP discounts: Can only paid downloaded APPs to participate in this event? Can apps that are free to download but have in-app purchases participate? (In fact, we can provide cooperation support in both forms)
  3. In addition to the above promotion methods, can the store provide us with advertising space to gain maximum exposure and attract the attention of more users. If it works, we’re willing to pay for it too.

Please let me know what you think about the above issue.

Many thanks:)
Irene

You pretty much need a business developer partner in Samsung. For the Global team you can try the Seller Portal 1:1 Enquiry.

Hi Irene,

I just noticed that they added an option to contact the Business Developer Team in the Developer Support Request. You can use that now.

Hi Ron
Sorry for replying so late.
Our APP is called Wehear, which is an online audiobook product. We have nearly 2 million users worldwide, our products are mainly released in North America and Europe, and are consistently ranked among the top audiobook apps on Google Play and Apple Store.
You can download Wehear via this link:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.joyreading.wehear
Can you help Wehear promote it in North American stores, help Wehear gain more exposure and recommendation in the store, and let more users download Wehear :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Yours
Irene

Hi Irene,

I was told the way to do contact the Business Developer Team now is by submitting a Developer Support Request. There is an option for being promoted on Galaxy Store.

Things that help get promoted
Be a top download for your category from Play Store and or Apple Store
Use Samsung In App Purchase
Be a new App on Galaxy Store

If you are willing to pay for a promotion or pay for registrations include that information

Be sure to include the information you posted above and while I deleted your phone number here, you should include it when you ask for contact, business developers love to talk.

Finally if you don’t get something besides the acknowledgement response in a week let me know and I’ll check to see if anyone has looked at the ticket.

Hi Ron
Thanks for following up on this!
We are ready to release a paid version of Wehear in the North American store.
But we are not sure, will this make more users notice Wehear? :expressionless:
There doesn’t seem to be more exposure and notifications in stores to let users know that Wehear is on sale.
We wanted to know how to get more exposure and recommendations in the Galaxy Store.
We take Wehear’s partnership with the Galaxy Store very seriously and are always ready for more promotions with the Galaxy Store.

We have communicated with customer service many times, but there are still many questions that have not been answered.
[Edit] removed phone number
This will help us a lot!

Many thanks
Irene

I do not know what customer service you are communicating with. If it is the Seller Portal they have nothing to do with Galaxy Store. If it is Samsung.com Customer Service they have nothing to do with Galaxy Store. As I said you need to create a support request and list contact a business developer as the reason, it is an option.

Please do not post phone numbers that is against forum policy.

Hi Ron
I’ve added a request on the developer support request as you suggested, but there haven’t been any responses since April 13th.
I just re-added the request, can you help follow up on this?

I see both requests were replied to and you or someone replied back. The request need additional information that is why they are under review.

Dear Ron:
We encountered a problem when preparing to access the Samsung SDK.
When launching a paid app in US store, does the app have to be connected to Samsung Pay? Or can the user pay through a third party (like PayPal)?
Also, if we want to do app discount sales, do we have to connect to Samsung Pay? Or can the user pay through a third party (like PayPal)?
Looking forward to your reply.

Many thanks
Irene

It requires Samsung In App Purchase which is different than Samsung Pay. In App Purchases work with Credit cards, PayPal works in the US & varies country by country.

Samsung Developer Program

Dear Ron,
We have integrated Samsung Pay into the app, we need to verify that the integration was successful.
Could Samsung provide the test account to APP sellers?
Or provide Sandbox environment to APP sellers? so that we can do a payment test.

Many thanks,
Irene

Hi Irene,

You can use your own test accounts to verify the integration with Samsung IAP SDK. My recommendation is:

  1. Setup IAP Mode to test, register the test accounts (they have to be Samsung Accounts) as Licensed Testers. Then you will be able to do test transactions, no charge with those accounts for your items.

  2. Once you have a release candidate, create a Closed Beta with IAP mode set to Production. You can keep the test accounts as licensed testers to make transactions (still no charges to your credit card). If you want to do production transactions, where the user will get charged, then use accounts to make transactions that have not been registered as licensed testers.

For more information about IAP testing please check: Test Guide | Samsung Developers
