Issue with custom app opening

I made myself a face a while back (Samsung Galaxy 5 pro) and decided to add some custom app openings, namely opening the timer if I tap the main time and stopwatch if I tap the seconds.

So, I’ve used the app ID of com.samsung.timer-wc1 for the timer app and com.samsung.stopwatch-wc1 for the stopwatch app.

As far as I can tell these are the correct app IDs for the relevant apps, but if I tap the time or seconds I get ‘Error while retrieving information from the server. DF-DFERH-01’.

All other tap action on the watch face work fine, tapping step counter opens step app, tapping date opens calendar etc. I’ve tried resetting the cache, which was the only potential solution I found in a search. Any ideas? Or am I missing something fundamental here?

Edit - Both the timer and stopwatch apps I’m trying to link run fine on their own.

firstly, they recommend downloading and installing the My APK app from the play store. this will show you all the apk files and their names on your device.

the short of it is, these are the package names i have that you may be looking for:

com.samsung.android.watch.timer
com.samsung.android.watch.stopwatch

hope this helps
