Can you explain to me what the automatic integrity protection?
It’s a new entry that recently appeared when loading a new file, from the production menu:
“Google Play’s Automatic Integrity Protection feature adds runtime checks to your app to restrict modification and redistribution. If the app fails these checks, users may be prompted to download the app on Google Play.”
If you enable this, the file won’t upload and you get that error message.
Thanks for the explanation. Question … As I understand that, you can also switch on this automatic integrity protection. Maybe you first upload the aab and then activate this protection?
Sorry for my english
You can activate / deactivate it every time you upload a new file …
Ah okay…thanks Matteo
@Matteo_Dini I have now updated two WF from 1.3.x to 1.4.2 and have not received any error message. Utomatic integrity protection is not activated
Yes, if you don’t activate it the file is loaded without issues.
The problem comes out when you activate the automatic integrity protection.
Today I was uploading updates for my wear os apps. Both phone and watch aabs with these checks
They were uploaded correctly. (Android Studio)
With WFS 1.4.20, I’m getting errors so it’s something between WFS 1.4.20 and integrity protection in Google Console.
@Matteo_Dini , good thing that you found a solution, thanks for that!
Edit: @Matteo_Dini , there is even a better one, turn protection off, upload watch face, turn it back on
Okay, got it
What do I have to consider and set in the automatic integrity protection so that it is effective. It is very confusing on the Google side
By logic, the latest version (Dynamite). But I can’t tell you more.
