[Notice] Watch Face Studio 1.8.7 Released!

There are workarounds, but it’s not good practice to change things that already work

Very True . I have not had any feedback on my Question . We will see .

It’s possible that one of the new optimisations implemented in the latest WFS is responsible. Perhaps invisible elements are now removed from the runtime layer set, so any attributes set against them wouldn’t work. Or, perhaps the resource optimisation involves cropping transparent sections of images: if all of an image is transparent, nothing will remain.

Thank you for the update. The shortcuts not working on this beta version.

I love how they promote it as production, when in reality its still in beta. Fool me once.

Fair is fair . We can be the Beta Testers and give feedback . I prefer to do it here as Samsung Fob you off with " We don’t understand what you mean " . I would expect some response from the Moderators or Leaders . I always think that is the purpose of these Official Topics .
May be @fowziya.ah could offer some response .
Or Perhaps @Jakia.Sultana

The New WFS always used to be Beta . It is almost like the Microsoft OS releases . Every other one was a DUD . I suppose if it is free there is no comeback . As Far as I know the releases are not updated with Fixes so we wait for the next one . I wasted two nights work as well . I have put them in a Basket on hold . We will see .

Hello @russellcresser ,
I was trying to recreate your issue on my end. But updated WFS(1.8.7) does not show update notification in my Windows PC as you have mentioned.
Is it still showing on your end?
We have also check this on MacOS, and also it is working as expected. Can you please share the specs of your pc with us?

Regarding this “Also something that worked on my watch and both this and the previous IDE does not work on my watch now . GW6 40mm .”, can you please share the reproduction steps with sample Watch face so that we can check this on our end?

Thanks
Shamima

Hi @russellcresser ,

((abs(cos(rad(([MOON_PO])/28)*360)))*130)

I’ve tried to recreate this both on Mac and windows. But it is working as expected for me.

If this value is not correct, please let me know what is the expected behavior.

Hello @krolev,
We have tried it on Windows and MacOS, but could not reproduce it. Can you please share the specification of your PC so that we can check with the development team to find out whether there is any restriction or not.

Thanks
Shamima

@krolev ,
It is working on our side okay. We may be misunderstanding your issue.
Can you please share the watch face, device specs and demo video with us so that we can check this?

Thanks
Shamima

Did you mean this shortcuts?

Which one is not working? Can you please mention?

Thanks
Shamima

hey @krolev,
I’m assuming you meant clicking doesn’t work with 0% opacity. If not, please specify.
I’ve tried specifying an action to an image and setting its opacity to 0. It is still working for me even with 0% opacity.

Please provide the following things so I may try to reproduce it:

  1. Device specification (both your watch and pc)
  2. Your .wfs file
  3. A reproduction route to reproduce the issue.
  4. A demo video

Hi Shamima.

I mean the shortcuts we create on our watch. I tested shortcut on my one and only Watch 4, it did not respond.

Hi @ALITHIR ,
Assuming you meant “Action” by shortcuts, I’ve tried to reproduce it on watch ultra. But it is working fine for me. Can you please provide a .wfs file and a reproduction route.

You’re welcome if that’s what you need.

The file is unfortunately not there now. I deleted it and now use version 1.7.13

Hey @AnakaraKool
Do you mean the customize option? And if so, can you please provide the following things:

  1. Device specification (both your watch and pc)
  2. Your .wfs file
  3. A reproduction route to reproduce the issue.
