We are attempting to use the Tizen screens for digital signage.
The signage application that we develop is supposed to run all day with no interaction by on-site users.
To preserve the screen lifetime, we need the application to shutdown the screen at the end of day (at a known time) and start it again the next day. The start and end times are to be set remotely via our website.
We have a Samsung screen in the office (LH49QMRE), and it is possible to set an On/Off Timer using the remote control. This will not suit our needs because, we want to be able to change the times without an operator being present at the site.
Is there any way a Tizen application can turn the screen on and off?
