Is there any performance/memory advantage in using SVG format over PNG for icons?
I don’t know what icons do you mean, but advantage of .svg over .png is, that it can be scaled to whatever size, without loosing quality and sharpness (getting pixelated). In terms of performance/memory advantage, I guess in some rare not optimized cases there is no advantage, rather in contrary.
