My watchface is published, and many people have purchased it.
Now I’m updating the watchface to include some weather features, which require a minimum SDK version of 34.
- What happens to users who already have it installed but don’t support SDK 34?
- Will they still be able to use the previous version and simply be unable to update?
- Can a new user download the previous version, if his smartwatch doesn’t support SDK34?
ChatGPT says that is possible to not lose users by creating a “Legacy” track for SDK33, or something like that.
PS: I also have a companion app
Thank you in advance.

=> If you update the minimum SDK, then it should not work anymore in lower SDK. If the user does not update the wfs then it will perform as it is.
Will they still be able to use the previous version and simply be unable to update?
=> I am not sure about it. You can ask the Google support whether it is possible to stop pushing for update your watch face. If it is possible, then user can avoid the update and continue watch face using.

=> I don’t think so. Store always shows the latest one.
