Where is Emulator's Web Browser

Hi,
We’re in the middle of development for a web based application for Samsung Smart TV.
We’ve done the development. We tested in in real Smart TV, but the TV displays white screen. However, we see the displayed title of the web is correct. So our assumption is, the HTML is loaded correctly, but there is maybe some JavaScript or CSS that is not compatible with the TV.

So, we would like to test the web app using TV emulator from Tizen SDK. We have installed the TV emulator version 5.5 and launch the emaulator from emulator manager. However, we only see Live-TV app and no Web browser available.

Is there any way to show the web browser?
Need your advice, please.

Thank you in advance.

I have the same question. Did you found way to run browser in TV Emulator?

Hi there,
Actually I’m not. But I have a work around for this problem.

I read this information: https://developer.samsung.com/smarttv/develop/specifications/web-engine-specifications.html. So I understand, that since 2017, Samsung uses Chromium M47. So, we just need to get that version of Chromium. Then open our web app with it.

You can build the Chromium yourself with this source code: https://chromium.googlesource.com/skia/+/chrome/m47

Or, you could find the right build here: https://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/chromium-browser-snapshots/index.html?prefix=Win_x64/

I found the build, which is built in December 2015. But I’m sorry, I didn’t save the full URL of that built.

I also have the same question. The screen shots in the instructions for setting up the TV Emulator shows the Internet Browser being included - but after following the instructions there is no browser, even on version 6.5
