Best Way to Back up Watch Faces? Play Store Question

Hi - I was wondering what the best way is to back up watch faces that I create so that I can (if need be) reinstall them on my watch later. I know that I can just save them as a wfs file but then I have to manually reload each one through “Run On Device” if I need to reinstall them. Is this the best/only way or is there another?

Also, I realize that this question would be better placed in the regular user forum but I didn’t get helpful responses there so please excuse this question. I started having trouble installing watch faces that I had on my Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. At first it said that certain watch faces weren’t compatible (which I understand since this watch is running newer software). So I checked a few days ago and it now says that some of the faces which weren’t compatible before are now so I just assumed the developers of the watch face made changes to make them compatible. However, when I install them, my watch says that they did install but when I go to look for the watch face they aren’t there. I figured that maybe I needed to install on my phone too (though that hadn’t been the case previously) so I tried that and that didn’t help. When I open the companion app and click “Open on watch” my watch says that the watch face is installed (but I can’t find it on my watch). Also, the watch faces aren’t showing up in the downloads section of the Wearable app (not when I installed to the watch alone nor when I installed the companion app). Has anyone else had this issue? Is there something that I can do? Thanks for any help on either question!

If you got your watchface from store, then you wont have any official way to access any related files.

If you made it yourself, keep the wfs file and the WFS program you used it with. With whatever newer version open only a copy of the backup file, because it always alters the file, no matter whether you save changes or not, and it is never sure, what new bugs the new version introduces.

Hi - Thank you for your reply. So if it’s a watch face that I made myself is the only way to put it back on my watch (in case I need to restore the watch) to open the wfs file and resend it to my watch, just like I did when testing? Just making sure I do backups the right way. Thanks!
