Can't create Distribute Certificate? 2024

I’m trying to make my own watch face to sideload to my watch. I made my author certificate using Tizen Studio (wouldn’t work in GalaxyWatchStudio) and that works…but it tells me I have to also have a Distribute Certificate, and it won’t let me sign in to my Samsung account. I just enter the password and click Sign In and nothing happens.

Any other way to make a Distribute Certificate? I just want to sideload to my own watch.

And Samsung, don’t tell me “we’re discontinuing support for Tizen”—I know that. Unless you’re also telling me that you intentionally broke your own GalaxyWatchStudio app, the fact that Tizen will shut down “in the future” is irrelevant to my question.

I gave up trying to get GWS Faces on to my Old Tizen . I have sold it now . There is a way but it is round the houses I am afraid . Get yourself a WOS Watch . I bought a GW5 Pro second Hand . Gey a refurbished model and make Faces on WFS . Yu do not j=have to Build faces to get them on your watch from WFS . Just Run on Device .

I don’t want a Wear OS watch unfortunately. I intend to use my Tizen watch until it doesn’t work.

Run on Device doesn’t work. It gives me a message: “This device has not been registered. You must request a Distribute Certificate to test your watch face on your design. Do you want to request a Distribute Certificate?”

When I click yes I go through the login steps and then get this error:

name: BadCredentialsException
status: 401
code: 301
description: Either userid or accesstoken is incorrect.

I do Appologise . I can hardly Blame you for getting the most out of your Tizen watch . I upgraded to test stuff to sell on the Store .
There is a solution to what you are trying to do on the Forum . I will try find it for you If you have no luck . It was a Question raised on the same subject I think .

Okay, I have looked but haven’t found this same issue yet. Seen other errors w/ Distribute Certs but not this one before. I greatly appreciate your attempts to help!

Unrelated, have you had much luck selling watch faces for Wear OS on the store? Watch Face Studio seems easier to use and I’m curious how much luck you’ve had selling watch faces on Google Play.

I am very fortunate . I am in a Colaberation and our leader does the Publishing . Some are talking about sales of $1500 a month but ours are no where near that . But it is very Difficult to get into . Unless you have had an account for a couple of years you need to find 20 testers besides the complicated forms to fill in .

Check this topic and the one included the solution is there .
.

Thanks I will take a look. I am trying to do this on a Mac so I can’t run the .bat command in the eventual XDA forum post. But I will try to run this on Windows and see if it works.

Thank you Very Much .

Thank you for your efforts. Sadly, I could not get any of it to work. My watch won’t connect to the computer no matter what I do; and the Fit2 tool is for .tpk files, not .wgt watch face files, so I am just stuck. In theory I’m sure something may be possible, but I think I will just live with other watch faces (and eventually use the far superior Watch Face Studio when I eventually have to switch to Wear OS when this watch dies on me). Thanks again!
