Good morning all! I’ve been working on a watch face and I can’t quite get the hour hand to work the way I want it to. Is it possible for the hours to go from 1-12 not in a continuous circle? After it reaches the 12th hour, it should skip a whole section of the face and go back to 1. I thought this would be possible but it seems I can’t figure it out. Attached is the face I made so you can get a better idea of what I’m doing.
A mathematician would say I use too many () . That is how I work . The trick is to find the start and end angle of the move . I use a test formula for that and the time machine slider .
[HOUR_0_23_MIN]*15
So this formula is a smooth version .
(190+((([HOUR_0_11_MIN])/11)*242))
Just say if you want it to step hour to hour .
.
.
You may want the Hand stepped . Your Dial is not perfect but that may not matter .
. (190+((([HOUR_1_12])/11)*242))
Thank you so much! This is exactly what I was looking for. How do I make the hand stepped?
EDIT: for anyone else confused, the “tags” button was in the rotation text field.
Where do I add formulas like this? That would open up this program quite a bit for me! And yes, the dial needs some work. Just trying to get the face working and I’ll go back to tighten it up
I see the Jump Hour settings in the Preset Analogue Hands . I just can not get it to start at the angle indicated by @pjsamuel91 . I am looking at 1.7.13 right now . I do not often use the Presets . I have spent too much time working with tags in the other Place as you know .
I see inn the New 1.8.7 the analogue hands have been deprecated . The can be used with Rotation Tags again .
That background image is really uneven, there are maybe 20 ticks for 12h etc.
The hand could jump with rotation properties turned off, based on rotate field expression like 190+ [HOUR_1_12]*260/12
Yeah . I gave a similar formula earlier .
They are changing thing back a bit I think .
Peter do I guess you are still on 1.3.13 to send stuff to Tizen watches .
.
No, WFS (even in older version) is just backup for me, I wanted to stay a bit in touch for the case my Tizen watch would die someday. WFS can not provide anything for my current watch. I wanted to see where it is going and maybe suggest things. There was a little chance back then some ideas may be forwarded, but since Ron retired, I do not see this forum having slightest influence anymore.
Its like throwing peas at a wall, they wont stick…
