When I switch dev mode to ON, the Host PC IP field is already filled with 0.0.0.0 and clicking in the fields does nothing. I tried toggling dev mode on and off with restarts as well as a hard reboot. I watched someone do this on youtube and their fields were empty when enabling dev mode. Why do mine have 0.0.0.0? How can I change this?
Have you connected your TV to the WiFi that IP address should already be filled in. You need the Smart TV and your computer connected to the Same WiFi network.

Yes, it is connected to my network, the same network as my computer. I have also tried using ethernet with the same result. Why would that IP already be filled in? Even connected to the network, the TV wouldnt know which computer is the host without me specifying

Sorry I was thinking backwards, I apologize.
The information Here shows the zeros. When I set my TV up several years ago it had a blank fill in not individual boxes but the method was the same.
All I can think of is to open a developer support request they may have some ideas.

The zeros on the slots there doesn’t matter. Just use a remote control that’s has numbers and input the IPv4 address. They will change as you press
