Galaxy Watch 4 Classic [Unable to pair with Galaxy Wearable]

I have had Watch4 for about two months. It is paired with my device together with my Galaxy Watch. Both watches worked well where Watch 4 had the precedence in auto connectivity. It also worked well with Watch Face Studio.

However, in the last two days something bizarre happened. My device can no longer pair with my Watch 4. I have tried all the suggested help measures, uninstall Galaxy Wearable, reboot and reset the watch but the pairing process just stops at 86% of setting up the Watch 4.

I took it to the authorized Service Centre and was told this is due to a “new update” and that I can no longer use both (Galaxy Watch and Watch 4) on my device, I should chose one of it. I find this reply unacceptable as it was working fine for two months, and that’s how it should be.

I also noted since this episode, the Watch overheating icon came ON once while charging and its randomly prompting to pair code messages repeatedly.

Before I take it back to the Service Center, I would like to know if any members here have experienced the same and may have a workaround.

Thank you

I have many Watches from Gear 2 , Sport, Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Active2 Galaxy Watch3 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic and it automatically switches when I go from one watch to another.
I think your service center is confusing having two watches paired at the same time with having two watches listed at the same time.

Do a Hard Reset of your Watch4 and try to pair again. If it doesn’t pair try to get a new one under warranty.

Hi Ron,

I have worked your recommendation and pleased to feedback that it has successfully paired.

  1. I have also debug the watch to connect with WFS, and its working fine
  2. I have also tested Galaxy Watch and it too is working fine
  3. The Galaxy Wearable app on my device switches automatically between Galaxy Watch and Watch4
depending on which I am wearing. That’s how a Samsung should be.

Thanks Ron, you saved my day …again.
