Issue Report – Hiding Steps and Calories Data on Galaxy Watch-Mobile

Our solution, ANNi, uses Samsung Galaxy Watch health sensors to collect physiological and activity data for real-time risk alerts focused on eating disorder prevention. For safety reasons, patients must not see their steps or calories burned, since these values can reinforce unhealthy behaviors. The data must be available only for parents/caregivers through our system.

Problem:
We have already:

  • Disabled all Samsung Health permissions related to physical activity and automatic workout detection (on both the smartwatch and the mobile device).
  • Denied Activity and Connected Health permissions.
  • Paused step counting and removed workout detection.
Despite all of this, steps and calories burned are still visible in the Samsung Health home screen on both the watch and the mobile, and we have not found an option to permanently remove or hide these cards.

Request:**
We urgently need to know if there is an official way (via settings, API, or device management) to block or hide the display of steps and calories burned on both the Samsung Health mobile app and the Galaxy Watch, without disabling the underlying sensors that ANNi needs to function.

If this is possible, we would appreciate any technical documentation, configuration guidelines, or a direct contact with the internal Samsung team that can support us.
