.net maui

I am trying to get a .NET 8 MAUI project to run in the emulator or on a real TV. I can get everything to build. The app installs, see the log:

However the app fails to start with the error:

Could not load file or assembly 'System.Runtime, Version=8.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a'. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (0x80131040)

Does anyone have working instructions for how to get a .NET 8 MAUI project to work on a Samsung TV?
