Is there any news on the WFS update?
I just get email from Google Play, it look like watch faces are not in that group (API 34).
This is copy:
" Starting August 31, 2024 , new apps and app update submissions must target Android 14 (API level 34), except for Wear and TV OS apps, which must target Android 13 (API level 33) or higher."

Google has extended the time until November 1, 2024.

@AnakaraKool, where did you find this information? I am still seeing the same message as before on my watch faces:
Open the detailed notice, you will see the renewal line at the bottom of the page

You have to request an extension for each app individually and it is immediately granted. (reason I selected was “I am waiting on a new SDK version from an SDK provider”)

I applied for extension on all watchfaces as well.
Lets hope after release of new Watchface Studio we donot face this developer account issue.
My assessment about this issue is Google Simply doesnot like redirections to any blog or private URL Especially in Companion App. Redirections to playstore in companion apps are okay.

Highly doubt this is the reason. I have a pair of ‘companion apps’ linking to my blog and a separate app also linking to my blog and a facebook page.
I wrote my apps in Flutter though, so maybe they can’t scrape it properly haha. (There’s an outstanding issue with the Google Play store and Flutter)

Only those who are using “circle complication - range value” are affected by API 33+ publishing. Those complications are now available only for Watch 7 and Watch ultra.

@TheLuxuryModifier, where did you come by this information? I have not used any complications in any of my watch faces I’ve uploaded so far, and I was affected by this policy change.
I’ve tried it and it affects all faces for Galaxy Watch 4,5 and 6. Only the circle complication affects all the faces. The package contains new sets of complications as their main reason.
