Hi all!
Friends, I’m not good at programming. Perhaps one of you can share with me an example of an application that opens a page with a watch face directly on a smart watch.
Perhaps this is not quite on the topic of the forum, or such an application violates something, so I will leave my mail for communication: s h a r d swf@gmail [address obfuscated by modertator]
Taking this opportunity, I want to thank everyone who supports the forum, I found a lot of useful things here!
If I understand correctly you want to open a web page directly so it shows in the watch browser.
This is something you will need to do with Android Studio
With Watch Face Studio you can make a button that opens Samsung Internet app and that shows what you have set as favorites so if for your personal use you can do that. We can help more if that is what you wanted to do for your own use.
Hello Ron!
Yes, this question is related to Android Studio.
But it seems to me that this is not an Android Studio forum question. For now, the companion app is just as important as the watch face itself, as absurd as it sounds.
Without this app, no matter how cool your watch face is, it still won’t be found or bought. If a designer has an app that opens Google Play with a watch face on a smart watch, this can solve a user’s problem with installing watch faces.

Pet Peeve actually it isn’t a companion it is a bundled app, but I agree, without one you can’t get a seller page that lists all your watch faces so it is almost mandatory.

You can do that just open the Play Store App on the watch it opens the Wear store. Still that is very sub-optimal for searching for a watch.
You can use deeplinks in a Web page that takes buyers to the watch face’s page. That is sort of what the top sellers are using… their own web site that showcases all their new or best selling watch faces.
I’m hoping that with this new review that the Play Store has enacted this month that they are going to do more with Wear OS apps and watch faces.
Installing the watch face on a smart watch using a phone does not always give the desired effect, users often encounter problems, the watch face is not installed for some reason. I have seen apps that open the Google Play watch face page on a smart watch. In this case, the user is more likely to install the watch face without any difficulty.
I hope someone in the design community wants to share this information with others.
The biggest issue is that it works in the same way as Android Apps do, the watch faces downloads are installed in the App Tray but there is no box to open them after download like an Android app shows. This is a big difference between Galaxy Watch Store and Play Store.
The other problem seems to be they are not downloaded immediately like Android apps to the phone are and I don’t know how to force it. If anyone knows that please share that too.
Even when the watch is connected with the phone sometimes the Play Store on the watch not synchronize. Means you buy a watch face on your phone but on your watch its still show a price button.
When this happen the user should open the Play Store “directly on his watch”. Sign out of the Play Store and sign in again. This will force the Play Store to sync and should fix the installation problem.
