QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES permission declaration

Hello AWF. I have seen with your WF that the query_all_packages have removed permission. How did you do it?

Hi. I’m manually editing androidmanifest.xml, commenting out this permission. Watch face seems to me to be fully functional but I can’t fully confirm what the consequences can be for the overall operation of the watch face, whether it does not cause some loop errors that will eventually result in high battery consumption.

I’ll update my apps again with the fixed version of WFS once its up & ready to be downloaded just to be sure

From what I know so far, the WFS update could be released by the end of this month.

An idea. I do not know if it’ll work. Unpack the AAB file … Go to Base Folder … Open Manifest Folder … Open AndroidManifest.xml with text editor. Delete line ‘’ * http: //Schemas.android.com/apk/res/androidname%android.permission.Query_all_packages (Éäñ *

Save and repack Androidmanifest.xml. Then change file back into AAB.

Ah you were faster… :joy:

 yeah, but editing .aab will not work because you will most probably mess up with file signature. You can edit AndroidManifest.xml directly in WFS project & rebuild
