Just wondering if it is possible to keep the second hand visible in the AOD. Any advice appreciated.

Not with the GWS tool, sorry.
It is not possible in any 3rd party watch face AOD’s it is possible in the Factory preinstalled watch faces (for emergency medical teams)
The Tizen API does not make have a public API for the second tick in AOD so you can’t create one.
