I’d be interested to see if anyone has worked on this particular complication.

@tudza That is intresting . It must be a Function of moon phase and 24 hrs clock .
I dare say the Image of the Earth is generic . It is probably a Day night indicator . It cold be Adjusted Seasonal however to do it properly you would need to know the Users Latitude and Longitude .
.
Having a look at the promo it seems that the two masks are Rotated on the 29.53 day cycle which is the same as MOON_PO . However I do not know how that sync with the Moon Phases .
The New Earth is Probably at Full Moon . That is when they are opposite to each other . We must be careful as they have drawn a Patent on that and there will also be Copyright . I can make a test to show you but your responsibility if you publish something .
.

@tudza Here is a test and some of the resources I used . I think this is right . We will see if anyone comments .

Very nice. I see you added the moonscape detail.

Seems to follow what I read in a description. The Earth is full when the Moon is new and vice-versa.

What it actually looks like for all phases I have no idea.

If you watch the Video in the link you posted you will see what I have done is exactly the same . The only thing that is up for grabs is the shape of the earth shadow . The ones in the Video are a bit more Pear shaped . I missed a trick making the edge of the Earth Shadow Soft . I will post one later . I just did the quickest and easiest thing I could to get the test off .
.
Here is the Earth Shadow with a soft edge . I think it looks so much better .
