Watch face exceeds memory usage (memory budget - 102.23MB)

Hello,
I hope everyone is fine…

I have another issue…

Upon applying for appeal and asking questions, i received this:

What can i do to reduce this…?
Watch face studio does not give me such insights (which i think the future update should include this so we can test and reduce it, must like watch face studio prevents AOD exceeding 15%)…

Moreover what can i do to reduce this…?
the aab file size is: 5.2 MB (if that plays any role)

All images are webp, there is an animation (140 frame - 1 second per frame - no loop) that plays every hour, I believe this animation reaches 102.23 MB whenever it plays…

I can try reducing the animation while maintain its smooth transition…
But I am wondering if there is an alternative solution I could try before i delete frames…?

Highly appreciate any provided help…
Regards…

If you haven’t already found it, there is now a plugin on this page (Memory Usage Plugin Download | Samsung Developer) that you can install and use in WFS to check the memory usage as you develop your project and tweak different things.

I suspect if you are using images with larger than necessary (larger than 450x450) dimensions for your animation, you may be able to save on memory usage by reducing the actual frame image sizes. Not scaling them down in WFS, but reducing the actual original file size before you import them into WFS. However, that is only a guess. I have no evidence that suggestion will actually work.

Regarding aab size, I’m not sure there’s much you can do outside of trying to optimize your image files even more than they already are. I created a face that included only an index image and hands, and it comes in at 3.45 MB. I also created one with an index image, hands, and I also added a 15 frame animation to it, and it comes in at 5.7 MB. So from my perspective it seems you’re doing great if you’ve managed to get 140 frames of animation into yours at 5.2 MB.

That was great, i never knew about the plugin,
so thank you so much, that will be very handy for me!!!

As for images, all images are 450 x 450, I will experiment a bit and see what memory useage it would give me, such as hiding images and elements and see the impact…

Again thank you so much…
