What’s the difference between WFS keystore and Google Play App Signing?

As far as I can tell nothing is different
Step 1 (create keystore) is done by you the first time in the Build Process
Step 2 (sign your app with upload key) is done by you when you add the keystore path and password to your build
Step 3 (Configure your app setting) is done by WFS when it builds the .apk/.aab files
Step 4 (upload to play store) is a something you do from WFS
Step 5 (prepare) is something you do in Play Store
