Animation not playing on my watch

I’ve got this to work many times before but my last 2 attempts have resulted in just the first frame bieng shown as a still image and nothing moving, I have 20 frames tried it with less and with more to no difference, any help would be appreciated.

Hi @rat1587825740,
Is it just happening on the Watch or even on GWD Run Preview?

regards,
Azad

Just the watch the software shows the animation running and my old animated watch faces still work fine on my watch.

I have also tried animation with 20 frames and it just works fine on my watch (Galaxy Watch). I am just wondering why it doesn’t work on your watch. Can you please let me know your watch model and it would be nice if you can share a gwd file using your animation so that I can check it in my end?

Azad

Hi there thanks for the help, im using the 46mm Bluetooth and LTE silver and black galaxy watch and this is a link to my Rainbow Six Watch face that the animation is not working on - [edit: broken auto-link to https://www.mediafire.com/file/9xjj7i26at0e0mm/R6.gwd/file has been removed]

Hi @rat1587825740,
I can’t download the file. It is showing “This site can’t be reached”. You may use google drive or dropbox for us to get the file.

If you make zip archive of the gwd file, then you can directly attach it to post here on forum.

hi sorry thats my bad PipBoy.zip (1.3 MB) different watch face same problem
thanks peter for the tip with the zip file thing.

Hi @rat1587825740,
I checked it using the latest GWS and found the animation doesn’t work on my watch too. This is very strange and you may take support from the developer support team by simply generating a ticket and provide them with your gwd file as well. From this link https://developer.samsung.com/support , you can generate the ticket. I hope you will get your problem solved asap.

Hi @rat1587825740,

Finally I found a workaround for your animation. Just rename all your images such as 1.png, 2.png, 3.png and then create the animation with the renamed images and see the magic :stuck_out_tongue: . It will just start working eventually on the watch but I really don’t know where’s the problem with your naming convention. I tried a lot to understand it but no success. Therefore, though renaming images resolves your problem, still you should report it as it is a bug. After getting the response from the developer support team, you can share it with us.

Thank you so much for the help, I’ll go make a ticket now that I have a working pipboy watch face

Can anyone tells me how to loop an animation ? i mean when i tilt to wake my watch it start animation from where i left it before, but what i want is that every time i tilt my watch it should show animation from the beginning not from where i left it. Sorry to post this here

Hello !
If that helps, an animation cannot exceed 15 fps (for me anyway).
Bye !

As Alexandre pointed out if you have 15 frames then the animation will start at the beginning as they run the full second. But you are limited to 1 second animation.

It would be a better idea to post new threads for questions.

There is a watch face of Samsung named live wallpaper that shows exactly what i want it always start from beginning not where i left and it’s more then 15fps. Well i will still try that 15FPS thingy tho.

I checked it out and it appears to still time out at 1 second.

and what does that means ?

Both the live wallpaper animation and the 15 frame animation start and stop at one second intervals
