" More testing required to access Google Play production
We reviewed your application, and determined that your app requires more testing before you can access production.
Possible reasons why your production access could not be granted include:
- Testers were not engaged with your app during your closed test
- You didn’t follow testing best practices, which may include gathering and acting on user feedback through updates to your app
Before applying again, test your app using closed testing for an additional 14 days with real testers.

How much testing can really be done on a watch face with no user changeable elements? People install it, look at it and decide if they like it or not. Perhaps suggest some color options and stuff. But that is pretty much it that I can think of.

Google is very back and white. I would be surprised if an actual human even reviewed your watch face. I am pretty sure whether you have changeable/customizable elements or not, Google requires tester to actually engage with the watch. Normally that would mean, changing customizations and complications periodically over 14 days. Having no customization features as you say, well that is a problem because how can a tester actually engage with your watch face beyond just installing it? Unfortunately for you, you are among the group who made Google Play accounts after the 20 testers/2 weeks requirement was imposed I gather. Not having that requirement myself, not yet anyway (Google can change requirements any time they want), I really don’t know what to suggest aside from maybe making something customizable like being able to change the color of an element in your watch face.

The impression I got is the face has to be on the watch and that is it . Wow they make it hard for new Publishers . If they had not sucked up the Huawei Crowd there would be room for some aspiring talent . Oh Well .

My suggestion would be to add some little things that are customizable, and let the testers play with it.
But make sure you comply with Google Play Console’s Policy:
play.google/developer-content-policy/
I added an interaction: tap on the date to open the calendar.
Let’s see if that is the issue.
