Can't connect to TV using TIzen

Hello,

I am unable to connect to the TV using either the Tizen Studio v.4.06. The message I get from the Remote Device Manager is “The remote device may already be connected by another”, and no, I am not connecting another client to the TV.

  • I am able to connect to other Samsung TV (Qe65q)
Both of TV in developer mode.

Are you still having this issue? I have seen it for a watch when the was not set in debug mode. Did you happen to unplug the TV that will turn Debugging off and needs to be turned back on.

The other reason is the computer was on the Ethernet and not Wifi and that will sometimes trigger this message.

Hope this helps,

I have the exact same Issue. The TV is a UE50TU7070UXZT Model. Both my Mac and the TV are on the same network, connected through WiFi. The TV is set to Developer Mode and linked by IP to my Mac. When I look it up through the Device Manager, it doesn’t even find it. I need an answer, because we can’t test the app at all

Do you get far enough to create the Distributor Certificate?
Are you using a Samsung Author and Distributor certificate or the Tizen Certificate. You can’t use the Tizen certificate to run on a Samsung TV.

Is your computer connected by ethernet cable? Even if it has WiFi on but the ethernet plugged in, it often won’t connect to a device.

Hope it is something simple like that and not a firewall issue.

I’ve finally worked around it. It apparently was a problem with the Certificates. The got cached somewhere (still unsure where or how). I started a new project, which changed the app id and created new certs and deleted all others. It worked. We’ll see tomorrow, though.

Thanks

I am facing the same, issue. sdb connect fails two.
I check that everything is on the same wifi. I can ping… does tizen 3 support this feature ?
TV model: UE55MU6170

Did you follow all the instructions on connecting HERE

Some thing to remember you need to reboot your TV after turning on Developer Mode (hold power button until it shuts off or unplug for a minute then plug back in)
You must have Samsung Profile with Samsung Author and Samsung Tizen Distributor Certificates not Tizen Distributor Certificate. See Creating a Profile

If you Develop Mode in the apps panel and you are on the Same WiFi network (the computer can not be on Ethernet connection) and it still isn’t working can you take a screen shot of what you see?

Thanks

I too am facing the same issue. it used to be working fine, and all I did was shutdown my computer for the weekend and now it refuses to connect to TV.
I have verified with my IT administrator and it is not a network issue. I can telnet without error, but device manager refuses to connect.
The log is absolutely useless. Is there any other log to look at or to know what exactly is happening and why it won’t connect? It is on the same WiFi and not on ethernet. In fact I did try to put it on ethernet since the initial “on Wifi” did not work. so ether net also did not work to connect, and now back on WiFi, and still cannot connect. I’m blocked due to this issue.

All I can suggest is probably things you already thought of

Does it say no devices found or no compatible devices
Try to create a new Developer Certificate it may be corrupted.
You would need to do that if the TV was updated or the Computer was updated

(silly but it happens thigs)
TV is just turned off
IP address for the TV changed
VPN (probably won’t connect if you are on a VPN network)
TV was disconnected and Developer Mode was turned off for some reason
TV for some reason is connecting to a different network.

Check all of those

Good luck I bet it is something simple if it worked before.

Thanks for the response Ron.
As you said, I did check and verified all the things you mentioned, and it still had not worked.
This morning after about 5-6 tries it connected again. I am not sure what exactly is going on, but now I suspect it is our IT messing around with the firewall causing this issue. But I have no logs to prove it :frowning:

Thank you for your response and suggestions.

hkalay, i was having the same problem, and now is working!

I enter in the screem to abillity develop mode, as you can see in the screem, and i added my host pc, and now i can see my device in Tizen Device Manager.
