Error to initiate Tizen Emulator

Please post any follow ups as a new topic in the Smart TV Category not in the Galaxy Watch for Tizen Category.

Be sure in the SDK configurations ( the tool/Gear iocn) that the TV Extensions are turned on. Just installing doesn’t turn them on.

When I launch the TV Emulator it triggers a firewall that has to be allowed on Windows. I suspect on Mac Big Sur it is even more tricky and that is the issue you are seeing. Unfortunately I don’t have a Mac that I can test it on.

Ask this again in the Smart TV category there may be someone that has solved the same issue there.

Hi, I’m having the same issue with the TV Emulator stuck at Booting the kernet.

I’ve tried to remove and add the Emulator again, if I disable the GPU from HW it does not even start, I’m trying to run it from an Intel CPU based PC with Windows 10.

I don’t even know If the Emulator is what I’m looking for, as I need to debug a website on a real device or the emulator (the real device will run the website on the browser, but I’ve notice that it has some issues when running some JS functions, so I need a way to debug it)

Did you check the Emulator limitations guide and see there are any?
You can use the Samsung Remote Test Lab to test on a real device

Also you may want to ask this in the Tizen developer forums

Hi Ron,

I have a real device here in the office it’s a LH43QHCE Smart Signage, so I could test it on a real device, but what I’m looking for is to debug a website that is running on the monitor browser and not a Tizen Application.

As the goal of the solution is to run a locally hosted website on the monitor in a full-screen browser.

But the website is having some issues that are needed to be debugged (it would be enogh just to have the console.log() of the browser).

The Tizen Forum is broken when I try to login.

Let me know if you could give me some other advices on the issues, thank you.
