The tech from Tizen said that Tizen Studio would be updated before the end of the year after all the tests come back without any problems.

is there any news? Apple recently released an update to version 11.1 of Big Sur but the problem still persists!
Just to be clear, I do not know if the issue will be fixed for GWS when it is fixed for Tizen Studio.
Tizen Studio team expects a solution by the end of the year.
Did you try installing the Java 8 version from Oracle?

OS: MacOS BigSur 11.1
JAVA: jdk1.8.0_261 (enabled the vm param in plist.info file)
GWS: version 2.0.0 (latest)
Observed behavior: I see the black splash screen with a nice graphic and loading bar goes 20%ā¦70%, then disappears, then the main application window opens, but its fully white, no response.

Today is the first time I installed GWS on my mac, I wanted to explore how to make watch face for my wife, didnāt go smoothly as expected.
Tizen Studio had the same issue with Java and macOS Big Sur and they released a fix for that today.
Tizen Studio 4.1 version has been released. This version is compatible with MacOS Big Sur. Please use the following link to download Tizen Studio 4.1 version https://developer.tizen.org/development/tizen-studio/download
You may want to try to download and intall that and then point your .plist to the Open JDK included in Tizen Studio.
If anyone tries this, let us know if this works. I havenāt heard from the GWS team if they have a solution.

I lost my copyright certificate because of this damn BigSur, when I formatted everything to downgrade to Catalina. But now everything works on Catalina. Do not forget about your authorās certificates.

I tried that and didnāt workā¦ What i did is to open the plist inside the contents of GalaxyWatchDesigner and add a string under the Eclipse Key redirecting to /Users/username/tizen-studio/jdk/Contents/Home/bin/java
I excluded the ā-vmā as it is not a virtual machine. I still have a white blank screen.
Hope that i am doing this correctly but if not please anyone that has more experience with editing plist files let me know!

Do you maybe have any update or a hint when the GWS will be compatible with Big Sur? Some time has now passed that the Tizen Studio is fixed.
I am currently designing on my Mac and transfer the files to a windows PC for the GWS part. As you can understand, tweaks are required and there is back and forth between the 2 machines.

I contacted support again yesterday. So far they are working on a solution, but it is not known when it will appear.
I know they have an in-house version that does run on Big Sur but has a minor bug that needs to be fixed.

Some date estimation? I have to reset my watch due to Bluetooth connectivity problems and now I can reinstall any of my own watchfaces from Big Sur. Very annoying.
By the way, if anyone has Bluetooth connectivity problems with tizen 5.5 and iOS you must delete one of the two Bluetooth generated links when pairing from Samsung App, just leaving LE connection and deleting the another one. Also very annoying.
I hope for it every day but have not date for a release. I know there was a beta version that ran on Big Sur but still had an issue.

yesterday Apple released a new version of Big Sur Ver. 11.2. When can we expect a working version of the GWS under MACOs Big Sur? I cannot update my system because the GWS does not work under BigSur.
There is an updated version of GWS in Beta testing now it works in macOS Big Sur. Release is planned for this month but not set yet. You never know there may be a last minute bug.
Of course if there is a new version of macOS Big Sur it may not be tested for that version but my experience dot versions of iOS are not that dramatic.
