I’m making a watch face for personal use and I want the always on display to swap the colors of the watch but I cant find a way to make the complications change color with the background, is there any way to fix this?
Just learning myself but I think you can set up themes. You would need an AOD copy of the complication I think.
Hopefully I will learn from this too. Have a play and let me know how you get on though.
In Style on the right you can set up a range of pallettes:
Then, for each Component you can quickly pick from the style to use.
I think these are the defaults for customisations too.
In WFS, I think @Bodestone is right. Unfortunately, this means that all of the complication code gets duplicated in the watchface, although that probably doesn’t matter in practice.
I guess this is OT, but this is easier and more efficient in ‘raw’ WFF XML: you can use the element to change colours (etc), and not simply set transparency to 0.
Thanks for the help, i was able to solve my problem
I couldnt figure out how to use the styles to change the color based on the aod being on or off so I just made a hidden copy under a different part of the watch face so that they could swap when the aod turns on.
Can you please expand on this solution?
I use [WHTR_IS_DAY] to change between 2 colors of Time and Date.
I would love to be able to change the colors of the complication Text, Title and Icons based on AOD.
You say you “Hid” a layer and Swap.
