Hi, I’m designing an analog watch face and I would like to have a GMT hand that tracks a particular timezone. This is useful only if the user can select the timezone themselves.
I know it’s not currently possible with WFS, but will there be a WFS update in the future when this feature will be available?
Thank you for the response Andrea, but I’m just wondering why this is the case only for analog hands. For the digital watch (with the world clock complication), it is possible for a user to select the timezone isn’t it?
I think you can do this with inserting a hand as an image, making it rotate with the UTC stamp tag and chnage it by tap to next image with hand rotated accordingly to next zone.
I tried this, but it seems that WFS limits the number of customization styles for an element to 10, which means I can give the user only 10 timezones to select from.
The tap select next image is there, problem is, they limited the alternative images count to 10, which I was not aware of, so my suggestion is not valid anyway. I think my GWD allowed more.
I was not aware of this option! Learnt something new today.
But yeah there’s a limit and I don’t have a workaround for this. Ultimately it’s upto Samsung to implement it as a feature.
As part of the customization, they could allow the user to select the timezone. This is a reasonable feature request for a software specific to making watch faces.
It would be easy if they finally introduced user interactive tags.
The tap action would make a specific tag toggle on or off, or another tag it would add one or substract one etc. They pretend for years that it would be “out of scoop” of the WFS as a designer, not developer tool.
